How to Learn Acupuncture – 1

Acupuncture provides benefits to those who are receiving treatment.

It also provides indications for psychological study and philosophical investigation.

To understand how Acupuncture can be useful to you requires an open mind. You may know a great amount about Acupuncture, or you may know very little. Have you read the entire story from the beginning? Starting with the first point which is Lung-1? The sequence of Acupuncture Points tells a story, and woven within that story is a teaching about life, our life – and the world around us. These pages offer context and information – reflections on the 361 Points – their correspondences, and associations. They can be understood in many ways, and are subject to interpretation.

There are 12 meridians, each with a functional role in an organic system. Each part of the system is a section of the story of what is possible and what happens when things fall apart. If only as a result of the effects of time and entropy we are breaking down. We are also building up, creating or maintaining an upward movement. These two movements are constantly in a dynamic equilibrium.
Signs and Symptoms correspond with Patterns of causal relations – and these can be described in useful ways. Everything is “both” physical and psychological. Both are real, and related in specific ways.
